Venture Capital (VC) investment in greentech in the US and Europe picked up in the second quarter, according to a new report by GTM Research (GreenTech Media). The greentech industry saw venture capitalists invest $1.2bn in 85 start-ups during Q2, a 50% increase over the weak first quarter, which saw input down to $836m and 59 deals. In 2008, total VC investment in greentech reached $7.58m, according to the Greentech Innovations Report.
