The third quarter of 2011 grew almost 40% compared to the second and 140% compared to the third quarter in 2010, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association. Employment within the solar industry grew almost 7% from 2010 to 2011. As the industry continues to grow, more models for connecting people with solar technology are growing alongside it and keeping pace. One such model is commonly referred to as community solar- a method by which entire communities are able to collectively purchase and utilize solar arrays. Through this method of democratizing clean tech, solar energy is made accessible to the masses.
In this online meeting, we will discuss what current policies and programs are in place to promote Community Solar projects and Solar Mosaic's role in the current market.
