Renewable Energy in Urban Markets: How to Finance Distributed Generation?

PV prices are falling and renewable energy costs are declining, but it is still a challenge to scale clean energy generation in cities with limited space. What are some creative ways to finance these projects? Which companies are making money doing it? What incentives are buyers and sellers using to enter the urban DG market?

The Costs of Integrating Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Commercial Buildings

By reducing energy demands and optimizing energy use, managers and owners are better prepared to rely on renewable sources to power their buildings. This whole systems method of viewing energy flow will be the focus of this discussion. We will uncover how commercial buildings can integrate energy efficiency measures into renewable energy projects, and discuss the costs and economic benefits of using buildings as the deployment platforms for photovoltaic and wind electricity.

Smarter Urban Infrastructure: Modernizing Transportation and the Grid

Transportation modernization and grid integration stands at the forefront of Smart City infrastructure development. For subway trains, above ground trolleys, and other track locked modes of transportation this means increased efficiency and reliability. For bus routes and cars driving on the roads, this means smarter and more intelligent roadways with smarter traffic patterns. A smarter urban transportation infrastructure will bring improved mobility and increased comfort and productivity. This roundtable will address smart city transportation integration and future market outlook from both technical and business perspective.
