1- Pétrole, qu’en est-il vraiment ?

  • Etat des réserves dans le monde et prévisions de croissance de la demande (le peak oil est-il atteint ? Quelles sont les prévisions d’évolution du prix du baril dans les vingt ans à venir ?)
  • Les contraintes liées au réchauffement climatiques vont-elles conduire les pays industrialisés à ralentir d’eux-mêmes leur consommation d’hydrocarbures ?

2- Réchauffement climatique et productivité agricole

  • Le renchérissement des produits alimentaires constitue-t-il le premier effet du réchauffement climatique ?

3- Les énergies alternatives pourront-elles prendre le relai ?

  • L’éthanol et la biomasse représentent-il une ressource de substitution crédible ? Quelles seront les conséquences d’une généralisation de l’éthanol sur l’agriculture à vocation alimentaire ? Peut-il exister une agriculture extensive sans pétrole (engrais, carburant pour les machines…)

4- Inflation et hausse des prix, réalité, causes, perspectives

  • L’inflation se maintient autour de 2%, et pourtant les prix augmentent. Quelle est la matérialité du phénomène inflationniste ?
  • Inflation financière/Inflation réelle : l'augmentation des prix représente-t-elle le premier signe d'une inflation structurelle liée au prix des hydrocarbures et aux premiers effets du réchauffement climatique ? Quelle est la réalité du lien pétrole ð inflation ð consommation ?

5- Pouvoir d’achat, arbitrages, anticipation des acteurs

  • Structure de dépenses des ménages (logement, alimentaire, automobile, épargne…)
  • Quelle sera l'évolution du pouvoir d'achat ? Comment les consommateurs vont-ils adapter leur comportement ?
  • Rappel des évolutions qualitatives récentes en matière de consommation
  • Certaines familles de produits risquent-t-elles de subir des arbitrages défavorables de la part du consommateur ?
  • Comment les différents acteurs (producteurs, distributeurs…) peuvent-ils anticiper ces évolutions ?

  • Les marques feront-elles encore du marketing et de la publicité si la demande l'emporte structurellement sur l'offre ? Quelles peuvent être les projections dans ce domaine ?

Agrion is a professional community that units industrial and service companies sharing the same issues related to energy, raw materials and sustainable development. Agrion is both a think tank and a network that tackles concrete problems - such as energy substitutes, plastics made without oil, logistic costs… - and provides short and middle term solutions.

Agrion concerns every department of the company: general management, production, engineering, logistics, supply, analysts, buying managers, financial directors, etc.

Activities:

  • The Committees

The committees are meetings that are held once a month from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, covering highly concrete issues; they include presentations, debates and demonstrations.

6 different committees are programmed:

•    Electrical Energy
•    Raw Materials
•    Transportation and Logistic
•    Sustainable Development
•    Consumption

  • The Workshops

The content of the committees is sufficiently easy to be followed by analysts, managers or buyers. Engineers, chemists and geologists who wish to delve into specific technology issues in greater depth (such as the hydrogen economy for instance) are welcome to form ad hoc workgroups.

  • Agrion International Meeting

Each year, at the end of June, Agrion gathers its members of all three geographical zones in which it is represented (Europe, Japan and China) for a day of debating and networking. This meeting is recorded in an annual report which presents the state of progress of the issues dealt with by the community.

  • News and Forums

Agrion’s website is to become the reference point for news and forums about energy, raw materials and sustainable development. Concerning the use of foreign languages, the general principle specifies that local activities are managed in local languages (such as French, German and Chinese) while written contributions are necessarily written in English. The aim is to permit all the readers to take part in the discussions.

  • International Implantations

Agrion is creating local business communities in countries where industry still stands for a large portion of the raw domestic product. The first four destinations are: France, Germany, Japan and China.

The Electronic Business Group (EBG) is an international business network which purpose is to boost innovation, new technologies, Internet and digital medias. The members of this organisation are both large companies and fast growing ventures.

Activities :

  • The Electronic Business Group manages seven committees: marketing, media, mobile strategies, telecommunications, buying management, technologies & ROI, entrepreneurship, and law. Each committee meets once a month on a precise and concrete topic, gathering 100 to 600 people.
  • Some other VIP meetings, such as evening conferences and diners, join together CEO’s, CFO’s, CMO’s and entrepreneurs. Amongst the guests that the Electronic Business Group has already received, we can mention Bill Gates, Michael Dell, Arnaud Lagardère, Pascal Lamy (WTO), Luca di Montezemolo (Ferrari/Confindustria), Ben Verwaayen (British Telecom), Gerhard Zeiler (RTL Group)…

The organisation is ruled by two assemblies:

  • The International Board of Directors comprises managers coming from six countries; they help the President to draw the decisions concerning the international development of the EBG.
  • Each country is ruled by a Strategic Council that draws the official program of the committees and chooses the keynote speakers for the VIP meetings.

The EBG also publishes books, such as the "Internet Media Cannibale".

The subscription costs 3300 euros for a company, whatever the size or the business field. These fees allow all collaborators of the company to take part to any of the 80 meetings that are organised each year. There is no limit in the number of people that a company can register. Moreover notice that - despite of such a low price - the data base of the Electronic Business Group can not be sold or rented for commercial use.
